 Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a good day yesterday.  I just did the usual.  I went and worked out and then I came home, ate dinner, and watched a little TV.  Day 2 of my diet went pretty good.  So two days down now, like 100 more to go! Lol.  Over the weekend I was talking to a good friend of mine. She is a new business owner and was just explaining all the trials and tribulations that go along with starting a new venture. The one thing she was most upset about was the lack of respect she sometimes received from her customers and other people in her industry. She was pretty upset about this.  She looked a little worn out too.  I quickly reminded her though of how far she has come!  First of all how many of us can say that they have actually started a successful business?  That in itself says a lot about her.  And two who cares what other people are saying about you!  If they are talking that means you are doing something right!  So be proud of your accomplishments so far, because I'm sure there are only more to come!   Quote of the day is "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent."             The one place where we expect to see democracy upheld is the House of Commons but, since the Labour Government imposed devolution (after a referendum from which people in England were excluded), they have allowed MPs, who neither represent nor are answerable to their constituents, to participate in determining policies which, in their constituencies, are the responsibility of their regional Parliament or Assembly.
            Voters in Scotland cannot choose their MPs for what they think they can do
on their behalf regarding health, education, housing or any of the many other matters for which the UK Parliament is not responsible. Election is not merely a matter of putting a cross on a piece of paper but of the voters choosing whom they wish to act on their behalf as their representative. Before devolution, all MPs represented their constituents for all political matters but, since devolution, Labour MPs from devolved areas have acted unconstitutionally as though they still represented their voters when they clearly did not..
            Nothing in the devolution legislation changed the constitution to authorize these MPs to participate in deciding policies for which they represented nobody. The Government has repeatedly claimed that we are a representative democracy, particularly, for instance, when it suits them in trying to justify breaking their promise to allow a referendum on the EU
Constitution. They now, cynically, plead, in effect, that to restore democracy would jeopardize the Union. The Union is in much greater danger if  the present travesty of democracy. continues.

I can't help but to picture our wedding if we won, I know there is a lot of us trying to win this and we all have our uniqueness and history. Singers Room: R. Kelly is yet again involved in a legal battle this week. According to a lawsuit filed on Friday, Kelly is suing two club promoters for allegedly using his name without permission.

In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior court, Toi Crawford and Shane Mooney, promoters at Sugar Night Club in Hollywood were charged with violation of statutory right of publicity, common law of publicity, unfair competition law and false endorsement after they allegedly promoted an event to be hosted by R.Kelly – an event the R&B singer knew nothing about.

According to TMZ, the 14-page complaint states that R.Kelly has suffered irreparable harm and damage due to this event. The suit also stems from flyers that were allegedly made with Kelly’s name in order to generate a larger audience.

In related news, the R&B singer/songwriter is set to release his next album “12 Play” this fall despite a series of leaked tracks that surfaced online in recent weeks.

After filing for divorce months ago, Shaquille O’Neal and his wife Shaunie are reportedly getting back together.

“Things are great, and we’re moving on to the good stuff,” Shaunie tells Extra. “We’ve both learned a lot and know that our family comes first and that’s the main thing for both of us.”

On Thursday — while promoting the launch of her new video-sharing Web site — she also told the Associated Press, “Neither one of us could probably answer why we were getting [divorced] in the first place.

“Things have been going so great, that someone actually had to remind us that ‘Hey, you do remember those papers are still there.’ Literally, it was days ago,” she said. “So, we’ve agreed that before we leave Florida in a few days we’ll make sure that that’s gone away.”

“I never thought he would be putting me through some of the stuff I'm going through now. I can't even get in contact with him for things for my baby … it's just hard," said Jester.

She said Yung Joc, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, is one of the hottest and wealthiest entertainers on the rap scene, and is reportedly worth millions. The rapper also owns a luxury car rental business.

Jester said because the rapper has continuously missed his court-ordered child support payments, it has forced her to pay late fees on her own bills.

"The type of money he makes, $2,000 is nothing," said Jester.

The single parent said the situation has created a financial struggle, while the rapper is living large.

Lawyers said they’ve had difficulty finding the rapper to serve him with court papers for unpaid child support.

Jester said the rapper may love their son, but he has a poor way of showing it.

"Mr. Robinson has all kinds of cars, Bentleys, Mercedes Benz, Ranger Rovers, Two Range rovers,” said Jester.

WSB-TV tried to contact Yung Joc, but an answering machine at an office listed in court papers was full and we could not leave a message.

It seems as if Gary   has gone off  to try his hand at getting into Hong Kong, nobody wants him except us of course, this country's answer is that we would be able to keep a secure eye on him etc. and prevent him getting his mucky mitts on children, what a joke as soon as he gets here he will claim human rights!!

I have been sent a recording AMR file via e-mail, from a mobile/cell phone.

I'm having difficulty in the opening of this certain file. I have tried to open it in power DVD also windows media player, it seems windows media wants me to update, I started to update only my comp was chugging away and taking ages, so I cancelled the update. Had I of continued with the update would this of made a difference to the opening of a AMR file ?

Any suggestions ?

The gap between rich and poor in Britain has doubled over the past 30 years, according to a new study reported in today's paper. Cue synthetic leftist indignation, concerned newsreaders' frowns and a quick chorus of the Internationale. This report comes from the TUC, a fact which should trigger a modicum of scepticism since that distinguished body is the ultimate tabernacle of redistributist socialism.

The TUC claims that household disposable income for the poorest 10 per cent of society was £130 a week in 1979 (you remember, the year when, thanks to the Brothers, you could not empty your dustbin or bury your dead) and that it had only risen to £181 by 2006; but disposable income for the richest 10 per cent rose from £407 a week to £733 over the same period. The part of those statistics that is most irrelevant is the second half: who cares how much richer the rich become, so long as the poor become richer too? Wealthy high-flyers are a prerequisite of national growth. 

The whole redistributist ploy of measuring the wellbeing of the poor in reference to that of the rich is hopelessly misleading. Redistributists love the "Gini coefficient", the leftist number-cruncher's instrument of choice for affirming the perpetuation of a Dickensian society. These calculations verge on the meaningless, they are so flawed. For example, back in 1979 we had an interesting institution called marriage which has largely crumbled since then. So, instead of a married-couple household with an income of £25,000 we now have two smaller households with incomes of half that, dependent on benefits.

Thus, such calculations are skewed by elective poverty or, more accurately, dependency. If you want an extreme example of the deceptiveness of the Gini coefficient, look at Marxist Venezuela. Hugo Chavez was delighted when the Gini coefficient recorded that, after a deluge of Marxist largesse from oil revenues, the poverty gap in his country had fallen from more than seven to just five points on the 10-point Gini scale.

He was less pleased when Venezuela's National Statistics Institute reported that the proportion of the population living in poverty had actually risen from 43.8 per cent in 1999, when he came to power, to 53 per cent in 2004. Fatty Chavez angrily instructed the Institute to change its "methodology" and the following year it prudently revised the figure downwards to a mere 39.5 per cent in poverty.

The poor cannot improve their lot unless the wealth producers are also doing so on a significant scale. In any society where the rich are getting poorer the breadline population, at least in the long term, will suffer appallingly. Britain, on the basis of bitter experience, wisely rejected the economic prescriptions of the TUC three decades ago: there is no reason to revise that scepticism now.
